Transit Pass Programs

UTA's pass programs provide a variety of options for students, employers, and employees.

Active Transportation

Bicycles

Biking is a great way to get to and from work, a rideshare pickup spot, or a transit station. Bikes are welcome on all UTA vehicles. Click here to learn about bringing a bike aboard UTA, renting a bike locker, or renting a GREENbike (Salt Lake City and Ogden).

Walking

Walking to work is a great mode of active transportation. It's an easy way to add exercise to your day, strengthening your heart and muscles and reducing stress. Plus, it can lift your mood, spark creativity, and lower transportation costs. Give it a try!

Scooters

Some cities in UTA’s service area have partnered with scooter rental companies to increase active transportation options in the area. Choose a provider to learn more:

UTA On Demand

UTA On Demand connects riders with other transit services like TRAX, FrontRunner, or bus as well as to other destinations in the community. The app-based technology matches multiple riders headed in a similar direction into a single vehicle, allowing for quick and efficient shared trips.

Compressed Work Week

Many companies offer full-time work hours outside what used to be considered typical 9-to-5 business hours — without compromising customer service or productivity.

Two common full-time options are the 9/80 and the 4/40 systems, with employees working 80 hours across 9 business days (instead of 10) in two work weeks or 40 hours across 4 business days (instead of 5) in one work week, respectively.

Alternative work hours like these allow employees flexibility to handle appointments and errands that are difficult to schedule in the standard 40-hour workweek. Studies have shown that sick leave and employee turnover rates decline where alternative work hours are allowed.

Alternate work schedules also benefit the community as a whole, reducing traffic congestion and vehicle emissions for less stress, better time management, and cleaner air.
